11th District Netroots Analysis

We'll start off with the Social Networking sites.

Myspace:
Fimian (just added): 2 Friends
Connolly only has a profile for last years Chairmans race.
Byrne: no profile

Facebook:
Byrne holds the distinct lead with 46 supporters, Up from around 30 last week.
Keith Fimian is rapidly closing with 23 supporters, Up from 4 last week.
Gerry Connelly remains far behind with 13 supporters, Up from 1 last week.

Now we have the organization site
MeetUp.com
Keith Fimian is the only 11th District congressional candidate with a meetup page

As far as blog support goes, Fimian also has a 2-1 advantage over any other candidate, This of course being because he picked up the nomination without any opposition.

Fundraising-wise Byrne is the clear online leader, However a large part of her money is coming from outside the 11th CD, The reason this is bad is, Traditional Fundraising is a great way to build Grassroots and Establish a dedicated team of volunteer's, Leslie Byrne has resorted to hiring people to do jobs normally covered by volunteers and therefore will be very weak against Fimian in the fall.

So as far as web outreach goes I'd rank the candidates
1.Keith Fimian

2.Leslie Byrne

3.Gerry Connolly

Leslie Byrne's Volunteer Problems

From her Facebook page.
Does this mean that for all of that money flowing in from outside the 11th , She has failed to motivate any real volunteers inside the district? more analysis coming soon...

It's Gettin Spiritual up in here

From the Cuccinelli Compass

Dear Fellow Republican:

I’ve been quoting Ronald Reagan a lot lately (never a bad habit), but tonight we’re going to take a look at a quote from Nancy Pelosi and then get a little bit intellectual (don’t worry, not too intellectual, it is Friday night after all).

Recently, Nancy Pelosi insisted that the following is in the Bible: “to minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship.”

I’ll save you the trouble of looking. It doesn’t matter what version of the Bible you’re reading, that quote is not in there. However, I think that we can learn a lot about Speaker Pelosi from this quote.

Question: Where would such an expression fit in properly?

Answer: The Humanist Manifesto.

There are two “Humanist Manifestoes,” cleverly named Human Manifesto I and Human Manifesto II (I think Dr. Suess would call them Thing 1 and Thing 2). The first was written in 1933, and the second – the ‘update’—was written in 1973.

The first can be found at http://www.americanhumanist.org/about/manifesto1.html, and I’ve reprinted it in its entirety below. Read it. If this doesn’t scare you, then you need to read it again.

I’ve bolded some elements that are particularly relevant to our quotee of the day, Nancy Pelosi (especially the ninth “affirmation”).

Humanist Manifesto I (1933)

“The time has come for widespread recognition of the radical changes in religious beliefs throughout the modern world. The time is past for mere revision of traditional attitudes. Science and economic change have disrupted the old beliefs. Religions the world over are under the necessity of coming to terms with new conditions created by a vastly increased knowledge and experience. In every field of human activity, the vital movement is now in the direction of a candid and explicit humanism. In order that religious humanism may be better understood we, the undersigned, desire to make certain affirmations which we believe the facts of our contemporary life demonstrate.

There is great danger of a final, and we believe fatal, identification of the word religion with doctrines and methods which have lost their significance and which are powerless to solve the problem of human living in the Twentieth Century. Religions have always been means for realizing the highest values of life. Their end has been accomplished through the interpretation of the total environing situation (theology or world view), the sense of values resulting therefrom (goal or ideal), and the technique (cult), established for realizing the satisfactory life. A change in any of these factors results in alteration of the outward forms of religion. This fact explains the changefulness of religions through the centuries. But through all changes religion itself remains constant in its quest for abiding values, an inseparable feature of human life.

Today man's larger understanding of the universe, his scientific achievements, and deeper appreciation of brotherhood, have created a situation which requires a new statement of the means and purposes of religion. Such a vital, fearless, and frank religion capable of furnishing adequate social goals and personal satisfactions may appear to many people as a complete break with the past. While this age does owe a vast debt to the traditional religions, it is none the less obvious that any religion that can hope to be a synthesizing and dynamic force for today must be shaped for the needs of this age. To establish such a religion is a major necessity of the present. It is a responsibility which rests upon this generation. We therefore affirm the following:

FIRST: Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created.

SECOND: Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continuous process.

THIRD: Holding an organic view of life, humanists find that the traditional dualism of mind and body must be rejected.

FOURTH: Humanism recognizes that man's religious culture and civilization, as clearly depicted by anthropology and history, are the product of a gradual development due to his interaction with his natural environment and with his social heritage. The individual born into a particular culture is largely molded by that culture.

FIFTH: Humanism asserts that the nature of the universe depicted by modern science makes unacceptable any supernatural or cosmic guarantees of human values. Obviously humanism does not deny the possibility of realities as yet undiscovered, but it does insist that the way to determine the existence and value of any and all realities is by means of intelligent inquiry and by the assessment of their relations to human needs. Religion must formulate its hopes and plans in the light of the scientific spirit and method.

SIXTH: We are convinced that the time has passed for theism, deism, modernism, and the several varieties of "new thought".

SEVENTH: Religion consists of those actions, purposes, and experiences which are humanly significant. Nothing human is alien to the religious. It includes labor, art, science, philosophy, love, friendship, recreation — all that is in its degree expressive of intelligently satisfying human living. The distinction between the sacred and the secular can no longer be maintained.

EIGHTH: Religious Humanism considers the complete realization of human personality to be the end of man's life and seeks its development and fulfillment in the here and now. This is the explanation of the humanist's social passion.

NINTH: In the place of the old attitudes involved in worship and prayer the humanist finds his religious emotions expressed in a heightened sense of personal life and in a cooperative effort to promote social well-being.

TENTH: It follows that there will be no uniquely religious emotions and attitudes of the kind hitherto associated with belief in the supernatural.

ELEVENTH: Man will learn to face the crises of life in terms of his knowledge of their naturalness and probability. Reasonable and manly attitudes will be fostered by education and supported by custom. We assume that humanism will take the path of social and mental hygiene and discourage sentimental and unreal hopes and wishful thinking.

TWELFTH: Believing that religion must work increasingly for joy in living, religious humanists aim to foster the creative in man and to encourage achievements that add to the satisfactions of life.

THIRTEENTH: Religious humanism maintains that all associations and institutions exist for the fulfillment of human life. The intelligent evaluation, transformation, control, and direction of such associations and institutions with a view to the enhancement of human life is the purpose and program of humanism. Certainly religious institutions, their ritualistic forms, ecclesiastical methods, and communal activities must be reconstituted as rapidly as experience allows, in order to function effectively in the modern world.

FOURTEENTH: The humanists are firmly convinced that existing acquisitive and profit-motivated society has shown itself to be inadequate and that a radical change in methods, controls, and motives must be instituted. A socialized and cooperative economic order must be established to the end that the equitable distribution of the means of life be possible. The goal of humanism is a free and universal society in which people voluntarily and intelligently cooperate for the common good. Humanists demand a shared life in a shared world.

FIFTEENTH AND LAST: We assert that humanism will: (a) affirm life rather than deny it; (b) seek to elicit the possibilities of life, not flee from them; and (c) endeavor to establish the conditions of a satisfactory life for all, not merely for the few. By this positive morale and intention humanism will be guided, and from this perspective and alignment the techniques and efforts of humanism will flow.

So stand the theses of religious humanism. Though we consider the religious forms and ideas of our fathers no longer adequate, the quest for the good life is still the central task for mankind. Man is at last becoming aware that he alone is responsible for the realization of the world of his dreams, that he has within himself the power for its achievement. He must set intelligence and will to the task.”

There were 34 signers of the original of this document, and it was “updated” in 1973. You can read the “update” at http://www.americanhumanist.org/about/manifesto2.html. This is scary stuff, but only because it is so real… can’t you see how this has played out in our country since 1933? In the world?

Scary. Now you know some of what the liberals/humanists/progressives (pick your name, same thing) are after.

Let’s deconstruct what Nancy Pelosi said. Here it is again… she said the following was in the Bible: “to minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship.”

Setting aside her error regarding the Bible, it is clear that Speaker Pelosi fits right in to the Humanists’ notion that lobbying for government programs should replace actual worship of God. Apparently, we’re still in a transition stage, as she is still using God to bring her listeners around to her point. Hmmm.

Senate Rejects Governor's Pro Powerline Amendment

From Senator Holtzman-Vogel

I am writing to say thank you for your help on the power line vote today in the Senate. This afternoon the Senate voted to reject the Governor's amendment to SB 596!

In an effort to end the opposition to Dominion's power line project, Governor Tim Kaine had offered amendments to SB 596 that would virtually assure that the proposed transmission lines would be built in our district. It was a devastating blow to those who had worked so hard to defeat Dominion's proposed plan.

I emailed most of you earlier to alert you to this appalling action by the Governor on behalf of Dominion Power and many of you responded with calls to the Governor and other members of the General Assembly. It made a difference and stopped what can only be characterized as a shocking and heavy handed effort by the Governor and his caucus' Dominion allies to subvert the process and pull the rug out from under the people in our community who have fought this power line project.

During the election last fall, no one believed me when I said that those on the other side were only paying lip service to the power line fight and would prove to be on Dominion's side when the real fight came. Well, it happened and we stopped it and I just wanted to say hooray for all of you who helped! Your emails and your phone calls helped those of us who were fighting this get the votes in the Senate to fully reject the Governor's amendments.

Thank you again for your help and what a great day for the people who love the Valley and the Piedmont!

Kaine to Help Dominion Power scar the landscape of the Piedmont

From Sen. Jill Holtzman-Vogel
In an effort to end the opposition to Dominion's power line project, Governor Tim Kaine has offered legislation that will virtually assure that the proposed transmission lines will be built in our district. It is a devastating blow to those who have worked so hard to defeat Dominion's proposed plan.

We need to call it what it is - a shocking and heavy handed effort by the Governor and his caucus' Dominion allies to subvert the process and pull the rug out from under the people in our community who have fought this power line project.

During the election last fall, no one believed me when I said that those on the other side were only paying lip service to the power line fight and would prove to be on Dominion's side when the real fight came. Well, that is exactly what has happened and it is a sad day for us.

If you believe in property rights, if you care about this spectacular valley and piedmont, and if you are committed to conservation and the precious resources that we still have in our district, then please call the Governor!

We may have only a handful of legislators from around the state who will stand up and fight this bill. So I urge you to contact other elected officeholders and tell them how important it is that we defeat the Governor's proposal.

The legislation is in the form of amendments to Senate Bill 596. The amendments set new State Corporation Commission ground rules that prohibit consideration of certain critical evidence and effectively guarantee victory for Dominion in the SCC process.

I have made calls and asked others around the state for help, but we return to Richmond tomorrow for a special session and time is running out.

Thank you for considering this and I appreciate your help!!

Is the Gilmore camp worried?

I Received a call tonight from a lady identifying herself as working for the Gilmore campaign,
She stated that she was calling all of the registered delegates to find out which candidate they supported.
She seemed a little taken aback when I informed her, That although we have great respect for Gov. Gilmore, All 5 Delegates in our house were supporting Bob Marshall.

If the nomination is as good as secured (as Gilmore insiders have suggested) Then why are the Campaign wasting precious manpower to find out the status of the delegates? If the Gilmore campaign does not publicize the poll within the next week, I think it's safe to say that Marshall holds the lead.

BREAKING... Court upholds Kentucky's lethal injections

The Supreme Court case that Tim Kaine cited as the reason for halting executions has been decided and the court found in favor of the defendant, Executions are Upheld as Constitutional.

Will Gov. Kaine remove the moratorium now that the doubt as to the legality has been resolved?
If He doesn't then I will be moving forward with a recall campaign.

The Danger of Indiference

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Heritage or Hate?

Northern Virginia Battle Flag
The Confederate Battle Flag (Technically the Northern Virginia Battle Flag) holds many different meaning's for different people.

Many Virginians revere this as a symbol of the people that would not submit to an overbearing federal government and its Unconstitutional infringements upon the Rights of the States.

Others see it as a symbol of racism and the Jim Crow laws of the early 1900s.

And still more people idealize it as a representation of rebellion and "Redneck Identification"

So to discover who's right, you must look at the history of the War between the State's, Technically the term "Civil War" is incorrect as the definition states "A Civil War is between at least two political factions trying to take over the same government by violent means"
The South had no intention of taking over the current Government but rather to create a separate nation.
The Confederate Constitution was closely patterned after the US Constitution with the only major difference's being
A) The Confederate Constitution specifically abolished the International Slave Trade
B) Tariffs were permitted but were forbidden to benefit particular industries, This clause was a direct result of the South's belief that the Import and Export then imposed by the Federal Government heavily favored northern industries, over southern agriculture.

The Confederate Capitol was originally in Montgomery Alabama, The Confederate Government mistakenly believed that the close proximity would create harmony between the 2 Nations.

Interestingly enough, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas,, and North Carolina did not secede until Lincoln raised an Army against the South without Congressional Approval.

The most erroneous belief about the War today is that it only was over slavery.
Lincolns Gettysburg Address after the War was nearly over, was the first time the North brought slavery into the equation.
Both the North and South struggled with the slavery issue many years before the war,
The Violent Slave uprising's of that time cultivated the fear that if Slaves were released the resentment that they harbored would turn to violence.
In 1820 six years before he died, Thomas Jefferson described the slavery dilemma "We have the wolf by the ear, and we can neither hold him, nor safely let him go. Justice is in one scale, and self-preservation is in the other."
In 1861 (After nearly all the Southern Legislators left Washington) the US House and Senate passed the Corwin Amendment stating "No Amendment shall be made to the Constitution which will authorize or give to congress the power to abolish or interfere, within any State, with the domestic institution thereof, Including that of persons held to labor or service by the laws of said state."
In other words, Northern Legislators affirmed that they had no intention of abolishing slavery.
President-elect Lincoln supported this amendment.

The main reason for secession (aside from economic reasons) was "States Right's" which was a Right so strongly held that families named their sons after the phrase, Most notably was Brig. Gen. States Rights Gist born in 1831.
The Southerners favored abolishing Federal Tariffs in favor of Smaller, State-Based Tariffs.
In His March 4, 1861 Inaugural Address, President Lincoln stated "I Have no purpose, Directly or Indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery where it exists. I Believe that I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so." In the same speech, Lincoln made it very clear what would provoke war: "The power confided to me will be used to hold, occupy, and possess the property and places belonging to the Government and to collect the duties and imposts; But beyond what may be necessary for these objects, there will be no invasion, No using of force against or among the people anywhere."
The "Property" which Lincoln referred to were Federal Forts like Fort Sumpter which were the primary means of enforcing and collecting tariffs.

Now that we've established what the flag symbolizes and that the Government it stands for was not what people erroneously believe, We can move on to the other side.
Unfortunately many people who display the flag have no idea what it really stands for, Many believe its just showing the "Redneck Attitude" and these people are why the Flag is now associated with Racism, The Association of racism comes from the Hate Groups of the 1920s-?
These groups flew the Confederate Flag to soften their real agenda, Hard to believe but the adoption of the Flag was actually a PR Move, At that time the Flag was exclusively a symbol of belief in the Freedoms that the Confederacy fought for.
So what should we do? Allow the Flag to be flown without protest, While aggressively going after and jailing the Terrorist's known as White Supremacist's, In this way we can protect the Flags History and Re-Establish its true meaning... Independence, Freedom, Justice.

PWC Republican Convention

Today the Prince William County Republican Committee held its county convention, It was very well attended and attracted several statewide party leaders including Attorney General McDonnell, Gov Gilmore, Party Chairman Hager, Attorney Gen Candidate. Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, and US Senate Candidate Del. Bob Marshall.

Attorney General and Future VA Governor Bob McDonnell gave the first speech, in which he announced a plan to double party membership by Labor Day, The crowd was very enthused and the speech was delivered exceptionally well, Except at one point when McDonnell said that Mark Warner and Jim Gilmore had nothing to do with VA being the best place to start a business, raise a child, Best Managed, etc. He instantly clarified that it was Warner and Kaine that had nothing to do with these honors and apologized to Gov. Gilmore, Explaining he has just trying to give him some name recognition.

Then came time for the US Senate Candidates to speak, Gov. Gilmore gave a pretty good speech, The only mention of Marshall was when he claimed Marshall "Misled" people about his abortion position, even though Gilmore stated in the Presidential Debates he was pro-choice in the first eight week's of the pregnancy. He Delivered it well and the crowd was very polite.
THEN, It came time for Marshall to speak, only problem was he wasn't in the auditorium at that point, so after some confusion, a surrogate spoke, And did very well (If it was off the cuff as I suspect), Partway through the surrogate's speech Del. Marshall entered the room and took to the podium under a standing ovation, After about a minute of wild applause, He Finally gave his speech, it was shorter than Gilmore's as the surrogate's time was counted along with Marshall's limit. It touched on the principles that his campaign is based upon, And included several analogies of victory's he had over Mark Warner, Including the Marriage Amendment and a shout out to McDonnell for going to bat for him legally during one battle with the Democratic Administration over Taxes.

11th District Congressional Candidate Keith Fimian spoke, giving some history and position's, I found him to be very likable, the only exception was when he told of playing for W&M and beating both UVA and VA Tech, We Virginian's love our college football teams, Its best for Politicians to stay neutral on that issue.

Than Party Chair Hagar and Del. Frederick spoke concerning their race, I Can't tell you much about Frederick's speech, It lasted for an eternity so my mind was elsewhere, Hagar spoke about the importance of continuity and his "Success's", He described Rob Wittman's race as "A Great Victory" which I personally think was an overstatement, The 1st should have been a cheap easy victory but I Digress. I Have no idea who I'll end up voting for in this race, I Appreciate Fredericks grassroots experience but I didn't like when he took a walk on the Transportation Bill and I'm not sure if we should rock the party further with yet another chairman being replaced, But on the other hand I don't like the way the RPV Leadership ran (or didn't run) the election, Assistance from them wasn't the greatest.

Mainstream Media starts to come around.

After years of the media reporting exclusively from an anti-gun standpoint it seems that the MSM is finally starting to balance its coverage, Recent headlines from AP and Reuters include:

"Firearms database won’t work, study says"

"Scientists reject bullet-mark database"

"Fla. lawmakers OK take-your-guns-to-work law"

These Headlines may not seem like that big of a deal, But given the rabidly anti-gun articles we Gun-Owners have had to endure for years, It certainly seems like a
step in the right direction.
Normally when pro-gun laws are passed, either the media ignores it, or it is attacked as an affront to civility.
Lately though, the reporters have taken a decidedly unbiased approach in covering civil rights advances, Could it be that the powers that be have finally realized that people are sick of one sided leftist propaganda? We can only hope.

Catholic university to black, pro-life speaker: You’re not Welcomed!

Liberal administrators at the University of St. Thomas, a Catholic university and private college in Minnesota, censored the appearance of prominent pro-life and black speaker Star Parker. On April 21, 2008, Star—the best-selling author of numerous books—was slated to speak on campus about the devastating impact abortion has on minority communities. UST Vice President of Student Affairs Jane Canney nixed the idea entirely, citing “concerns” that the lecture was being underwritten by Young America’s Foundation.

Katie Kieffer, a 2005 alumna of St. Thomas and founder of the independent conservative newspaper on campus, the St. Thomas Standard, as well as the non-profit Conservative Student News Inc., was an organizer of the Star Parker lecture. She confronted Canney on her refusal to allow Star on campus. “Our Catholic university has hosted two decidedly liberal speakers in the past year, Al Franken and Debra Davis, an outspoken transgender woman,” Kieffer wrote in the St. Thomas Standard.

Why, then, won’t St. Thomas welcome Star Parker—a pro-life, Christian speaker?

Jane Canney told Katie and her sister, Amie Kieffer, a senior at St. Thomas and editor of the St. Thomas Standard, “As long as I am a vice president at St. Thomas, the Young America’s Foundation will not be allowed on campus.” Canney didn’t return the Foundation’s phone calls seeking comment. The Student Life Committee, on which Jane Canney resides, denied the Students for Human Life and the St. Thomas Standard a room on campus for Star Parker’s lecture. The young conservatives only needed a room and advertising space to host Parker, as Young America’s Foundation and Conservative Student News Inc. were covering all other costs.

Canney’s hostility toward Young America’s Foundation originated when the Foundation sponsored Ann Coulter at St. Thomas two years ago—an event attracting more than 750 students. Canney claimed she felt “uncomfortable” and “disturbed” while listening to Coulter, adding that she will never allow another Foundation-sponsored speaker on campus again.

Campus liberals are unaccustomed to hearing conservative ideas in their echo chambers, so it’s not uncommon for them to become discomforted when hearing alternative opinions.

“Canney should not deprive students the right to hear Star Parker’s ideas,” said Jason Mattera, the spokesman for Young America’s Foundation. “Such guilt-by-association is unbecoming of a college administrator.”

“Just because some students and some administrators claimed to have been offended by what one conservative speaker says doesn’t mean you cut off the entire campus population from hearing conservatives viewpoints,” Mattera continued.

“It’s startling that a school named after one of the greatest thinkers in civilization is displaying such anti-intellectualism. Let’s treat college students like the adults they are—allow them to hear a variety of speakers and form their own conclusions.”

Young America’s Foundation sponsors more than 500 lectures annually featuring a wide array of the very best in the Conservative Movement, including John Ashcroft, Michelle Malkin, Dinesh D’Souza, Sean Hannity, Bay Buchanan, Ann Coulter, and many others.

Liberals speakers at St. Thomas receive full support from the school’s administration. Just this past year Canney’s Student Life Committee approved the appearances of Al Franken, the bombastic liberal commentator, and Debra Davis, a transgendered activist.

Katie Kieffer called Canney out on her duplicity: “As an alumna of St. Thomas, I am embarrassed that the vice president of Student Affairs, Jane Canney, makes key decisions based on impulse and feelings. I am embarrassed that a vice president at this Catholic institution is making it virtually impossible for conservatives to bring conservative speakers to campus. For a person in charge of Campus Life on a Catholic campus, she is closed to our efforts to present conservative and Catholic pro-life values.”

Jane Canney is violating the school’s speaker policy to boot. The policy states that decisions to invite speakers are governed by “fairness and equity toward various conflicting views and interests, being mindful of the needs for wider information on the part of students and the larger community…Another factor governing speakers on campus is our concern that a wide variety of issues and viewpoints be given expression.”

She’s also violating her school’s expressed convictions, including “intellectual inquiry,” “faith and reason,” “the pursuit of truth,” “diversity,” and “meaningful dialogue.”

“Star Parker is enthusiastic about educating young people about abortion’s demoralizing effects, ideas which are in complete alignment with St. Thomas’ stated positions and Catholic teachings. Based on her behavior, Jane Canney seems unduly hostile toward conservative values,” says Kieffer. “St. Thomas’ commitment to diversity and intellectual inquiry appears to be threadbare at best.”

It’s not the first time St. Thomas featured an unhinged administrator. On April 18, 2005, the university’s president, Father Dennis Dease, accused Ann Coulter of “vulgarizing” his campus even though Father Dease wasn’t present for the lecture and failed to enumerate any of Coulter’s “offensive” remarks. Father Dease’s ire should’ve been directed at the leftist hecklers who interrupted Coulter’s speech by yelling expletives at her. Janney Canney and Father Dease can be contacted at jwcanney@stthomas.edu and djdease@stthomas.edu.

Mark Warner's "Dirty Little Secret"

My Source's tell me that the skeleton that Hillary's team dug out of Mark Warner's closet, Blackmailing him out of the Presidential race, Has now fallen into GOP hands,
The Republican hand into which this gem has fallen, also possesses solid evidence to back up any October surprises.

I Am also told that the information will only be released in the incidence of an attempted smear or unfair attack on the Republican nominee, As long as Warner runs a squeaky clean campaign the information will not hit the MSM, I'll keep you posted if any more developments come in.

God Help Us All !

Obama's Big Mistake

As we all know about Jeremiah Wreight's rants against white people, and how Barack Obama went to his church. Obama made the big mistake of releasing his tax returns, in 2007 Obama gave $27,500 to this church. Where do I get my information you might ask, the Democratic newscast "CNN" after these videos came out Obama made a be-line to say that, "I was not there when these statements were made." Sorry but your lying these statement were in 2007-2008, the year Obama made the donation. I am a giving man , but why would you give to a church that calls the very country you are running to be President in "U.S.KKK. A." That reflect on you ,Obama is the typical "American Idiot," who is running for President.

Marshall's 1st Fundraiser

US Senate Candidate: Bob Marshall, held his first US Senate fundraiser yesterday afternoon. It took place at the Historic Buckland Farm near Gainesville and was very heavily attended, It came on the heels of the Gun Owners of America and Borders USA endorsements.

Most of the people I saw there are very active in grassroots politics, Certain to be a good sign from the campaign.

The overall tone was optimistic, The feeling seems to be that Del. Marshall stands a good chance to win the nomination, There was also talk that Marshall holds a narrow delegate lead, although I'm not sure how that figure can be accurately gouged.

AG Candidate and State Sen. Cuccinelli Spoke in Support of Del. Marshall, I will post a video of the speeches if the Marshall Campaign uploads one.

Del. Marshall is the 1st NOVA Candidate I've seen with broad primary support from the Shenandoah Valley and SWVA. Normally the rural vote tends to harbor suspicion of NOVA Candidates, But given Gilmore's lukewarm policy's and lack of innovation, coupled with his weak stance on Abortion, Marshall has found himself in a very sweet position to pull off an upset.

If Marshall does get the nomination you can expect him to force Mark Warner to take some very tough positions which will fracture his support, Fortunately for the GOP, Warner has never had to face the scrutiny, or defend himself like he will have to do this fall.

RIP Charlton Heston

A Great Man and Defender of Liberty

The Heston family issued the following statement:

"To his loving friends, colleagues and fans, we appreciate your heartfelt prayers and support. Charlton Heston was seen by the world as larger than life. He was known for his chiseled jaw, broad shoulders and resonating voice, and, of course, for the roles he played. Indeed, he committed himself to every role with passion, and pursued every cause with unmatched enthusiasm and integrity.

We knew him as an adoring husband, a kind and devoted father, and a gentle grandfather, with an infectious sense of humor. He served these far greater roles with tremendous faith, courage and dignity. He loved deeply, and he was deeply loved.

No one could ask for a fuller life than his. No man could have given more to his family, to his profession, and to his country. In his own words, "I have lived such a wonderful life! I've lived enough for two people."

The Funniest Press Release Ever

"DNC Caucus Chairs Call on McCain to Stop Advertising on Hate Site"

Apparently John McCain's Banner Ad on bvbl.net has angered the DNC, Apparently the Democratic Party (Possessing neither Brains nor Hearts) Doesn't have even the slightest understanding of Internet Advertising, Bloggers don't pick the Ads (If we did, I wouldn't have let that reprobate creigh deeds advertise on here last month)
I Am offended for Greg Leticeq, even if the DNC (or anyone else) doesn't agree with what he says, they should at least respect his right to say it, It's the Right that he and millions of others have fought to protect and it is disgraceful that the Democratic Party would attack it.

Remember... Its only free speech if a Democrat agrees with it.

THE EQUIVILANT OF A NLS, FOUR TOUPEE ALERT

I Have exclusive information concerning the Eyesore/Beautiful Community Mural occupying 9500 Liberty St.

While eating lunch in Tony's N.Y Pizza, I Overheard a group of guys (looked as if they were in their 20s) "Plotting" to destroy the wall.

If they were serious, Than I suspect they are either...
  1. Anarchist Types bent on further inflaming conditions in PWC or Putting the HSM Crowd in a bad light (which I Gathered from the one with the Che Guevara T-Shirt)
  2. Or possibly a few stupid White Supremacist's. If it is the latter, than I suspect that it is mostly hot air, But if my suspicions about the former is true, I would be inclined to expect that they would carry out an attack.I've had a few run-ins with these type of people, They are serious and seriously crazy.

I'll Keep you Guys Posted.

New Wright Footage, A Minute or Two in.

freakin hilarious... Enjoy

Time for a Recall

Governor Tim Kaine disgraced himself today by breaking a campaign pledge to uphold the death penalty, I don't want to hear one more complaint from a democrat about separating personal religious beliefs from public duties.

The Governor has shirked the Constitution and should be removed from office. My Basis...

Article I. Section 7. Laws should not be suspended.
That all power of suspending laws, or the execution of laws, by any authority, without consent of the representatives of the people, is injurious to their rights, and ought not to be exercised.

Article V. Section 7. Executive and administrative powers.
The Governor shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.

Bob McDonnell will be a welcome change from the spineless pro-crime governor who is currently in office.

This is shaping up to be a McCain Blowout

According to Rasmussen
McCain is leading in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio, and Washington.

Nationally He's leading Obama 5% and Clinton 9%

And here in the Old Dominion He leads Obama 52%-41% and Clinton 58%-36%
While a lot can change between now and November, It's likely that with a divided democratic party it'll be in the GOP's favor.

He was against the abuser fees, Before being against the abuser fees was cool

The reason Mark Warner didn't run for President.
